2017 Benchmarking Report

ACCP’s Benchmarking Report uses the responses provided by ACCP member companies to highlight benchmarks in the corporate citizenship field. From International Grantmaking to Federated Campaigns, you can use the Benchmarking Report to understand how your company’s policies and initiatives stack up against that of other ACCP member companies.

Our most recent Benchmarking Report was published in 2017 with data that was collected throughout 2016 and 2017 from active ACCP members who participated in the survey process.

ACCP members can dive into real-time benchmarking data found in the Benchmarking Directory.

Disaster Preparedness, Relief & Response

As more disasters strike, companies - and corporate citizenship professionals - are being asked to respond. In 2017, 41% of survey respondents had official disaster programs in place, with 56% providing relief via cash only and 42% donating both cash and product.

Increasing Impact via Matching Gifts

Matching gift programs can boost a company’s philanthropic contribution program and encourage employees to support a company’s philanthropic goals. Of the ACCP member companies who responded to the survey, many (40%) provide gift matching to their teams. A select few (3%) even provide a double match for gifts.

Corporate Volunteerism: A Leading Practice

The vast majority (82%) of survey respondents have employee volunteerism programs and nearly half of respondents have a formal program to place employees on nonprofit boards. The majority of ACCP member companies with an employee volunteer program allow employees to volunteer during work hours, a practice that has been proven to drive deeper engagement and productivity amongst team members.
