In this session, attendees will learn how Cox Enterprises is strategically evolving it’s employee volunteerism initiatives to meet the demands of a changing workforce, engaging frontline, remote and hybrid employees, as well as aligning to business and community needs.  Attendees will also gain insights to how Cox has developed a measurement process to showcase how these integrated partnerships are translating into outcomes that align with business performance and real community empowerment.

Speakers:

  • Jennifer Bronner, Director, Community Impact, Cox Enterprises
  • Lindsay Wilkinson, Senior Director, ESG Reporting, Cox Enterprises
How can funders go beyond the grant to deepen impact, build trust, and spark innovation? The Ares Charitable Foundation will share insights from its 2025 pilot learning community, designed to support nonprofit partners through shared learning, peer connection, and mutual capacity building. You’ll hear about the program’s goals, structure, and early lessons learned from its focus on Measurement, Learning, Evaluation, and Impactful Storytelling. We’ll explore how the community elevated nonprofit voices, fostered collaboration, and provided support beyond funding. Then, in small-group discussions, you’ll reflect on what nonprofit capacity building can look like in practice, exchange peer learning ideas, and consider how to adapt similar approaches to your own work. Come ready to share, question, and co-create alongside fellow attendees.

Speakers:

  • Lee Fabiaschi, Vice President and Director of Learning Communities, Ares Management Corporation

As the workplace evolves, so must our approach to employee engagement. From meeting the needs of frontline workers to reimagining volunteer programs for hybrid environments and activating purpose-driven ambassador networks, companies are finding new ways to connect employees to purpose. In this peer-led session, facilitators from Assurant, the Jack in the Box Foundation, and Swinerton will share how they’re adapting engagement strategies to today’s workforce realities. After brief case studies, the conversation will open to the group to explore what’s working, where challenges remain, and how we can better support employees at every level. Whether you’re just beginning to evolve your approach or have strategies to share, you’ll find a collaborative space to ask questions, swap ideas, and leave with practical takeaways for your own organization.

Speakers:

  • Monica Bomani, Director, Assurant Foundation
  • Emily Schappler, Foundation Program Manager, Jack in the Box Foundation
  • Rachael Guerrero, National Corporate Social Responsibility Manager & Foundation Manager, Swinerton
