ACCP has set a multi-year goal to create a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable corporate citizenship sector that will improve the efficacy of corporate investments in racial equity. ACCP Partners with CECP, Council on Foundations, and Points of Light for a virtual event, Racial Equity: Moving Companies from Promise to Action.
Designed for corporate social responsibility and philanthropy leaders and their cross-functional colleagues from across lines of business, the event brought together diverse perspectives from thought leaders representing academia, business, nonprofits, and philanthropy. Learn more.

Fall 2020

ACCP holds three conversations under the Racial Justice Dialogue series and shares takeaways from the series.
Dr. Nika White, a national authority on issues surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion, with experience facilitating conversations on sensitive topics like these for over 20 years, led three sessions with ACCP members. The first session was designed for mid-level CSR practitioners and focused on how corporations can and should influence racial justice and the issues around systemic racism. The second session was designed for emerging CSR leaders and discussed how individuals can address racial equity issues, navigate difficult conversations and engage on a personal level. The final session was designed for senior CSR leaders and focused on how they can work to drive their company forward and ensure their c-suite understands the actions a corporation needs to take to move their recent statements into action. ACCP publishes the blogpost ACCP Introduction to “Open Letter to Corporate America – What Now?” 
Corporate citizenship leaders are continuously told to “make the business case” for budget, a seat at the leadership table, internal programming, and more. Aiko Bethea’s letter, while written to business, academic, and philanthropy leaders, provides a strong argument for corporate citizenship professionals to start thinking about how to make the case that their department can have an integral role in helping reevaluate their organization’s internal pillars, structure, and support. ACCP publishes the blogpost COVID-19 and Racial Injustice – How Corporations Can Help, According to Dr. Anthony Fauci. 
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, spoke to business leaders in a US Chamber of Commerce Foundation webcast. In conversation with Chamber president Suzanne Clark, Fauci presented his thoughts and responded to questions about the unique need for corporations to help curb COVID-19, address racial inequity in healthcare, and support public health.
