Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Chief Administrative Officer of the Wells Fargo Foundation

Molly Porter is Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Chief Administrative Officer of the Wells Fargo Foundation. In her role she leads operations for Wells Fargo’s Philanthropy and Community Impact team, overseeing all administrative aspects of the Company’s $300 million portfolio of social impact investments. 
 
Prior to serving as CAO, Molly led the Community Relations function at Wells Fargo where she was responsible for philanthropy, community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and employee volunteerism in local markets across all 50 states. Molly’s social impact work has focused on addressing systematic barriers to economic advancement in the areas of affordable housing, small business growth, sustainability and financial health, with a focus on serving diverse and low to moderate income communities. 
 
Molly joined Wells Fargo in 2011 as an attorney in the Law Department where she led a team providing legal support to the Company’s government relations and corporate social responsibility functions, including ESG and Community Reinvestment Act compliance. Molly’s work at Wells Fargo has touched on a broad range of public affairs activities, including drafting the Company’s first Human Rights Statement, serving on the Board of the Wells Fargo Foundation, and founding the Company’s political law practice. 
 
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Molly worked in the Law Department at Target Corporation and as an advisor at a public policy firm in Denver, Colorado. Early in her career she worked on a U.S Senate Campaign (Klobuchar-MN) and has had various other community and government relations experiences. 
 
Molly serves on the board of Catholic Charities of the Twin Cities, Minnesota’s largest comprehensive social services organization, and on the board of the Association for Corporate Citizenship Professionals, the premier industry association representing corporate social impact professionals. She has also served as a volunteer with numerous organizations such as the Council on Foundations, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, Hennepin County Bar Foundation, Wills for Heroes Foundation, and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
