Yma Gordon

Yma Gordon Yma currently serves as First Vice President, Global Impact and Inclusion for the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU). UNFCU provides financial services for UN staff and other members globally. In her role, Yma leads the credit union’s global impact efforts, including its global giving, sustainability, diversity, and volunteering initiatives. Yma also serves as the Executive Director of the UNFCU Foundation, which provides grants to organizations in the U.S. and internationally that work to end poverty for women and youth. 

With more than two decades of experience, Yma has held various leadership roles in the creation and growth of social impact, philanthropic and volunteering initiatives for global organizations. She currently oversees the sustainability efforts of UNFCU, collaborating with business units to integrate sustainable products and investments while guiding the organization’s ESG strategy. She has helped to deepen the DEIB initiatives and serves as the executive sponsor of the organization’s Multicultural Business Resource Group. 

A passionate advocate for social impact, Yma specializes in helping global organizations build best-in-class corporate responsibility initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to UNFCU, she led teams delivering grants, employee giving, and global volunteering at Citi, Broadridge Financial, and the Ms. Foundation for Women, with earlier career roles in several United Nations agencies. 

Yma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Spelman College and a Master’s in International Affairs (Economic and Political Development) from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University.
