The Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals (ACCP) is grateful that Congress persevered to fulfill their constitutional duties, certify the election results, and preserve American democracy. We condemn the violence and extreme disregard for our democratic process as witnessed in Washington DC on Jan. 6, 2021. The right to vote, hold fair and free elections, and ensure peaceful transitions of power are the foundations of civil society, and are critical for the public and private sectors to fulfill our responsibilities to all stakeholders.
