In an era where disruption is inevitable, the choice becomes: lead it or be led by it. Today’s most successful organizations aren’t just surviving disruption; they’re cultivating Professional Troublemakers: leaders who challenge constructively, innovate strategically, and transform boldly.

Drawing from her New York Times bestseller “Professional Troublemaker,” Luvvie Ajayi Jones presents her framework on how to build a culture of innovation within teams.

How do you share your CSR stories? Are they reaching the right audiences, or are they stuck in silos? Your organization is making a difference—shouldn’t the world know about it?

The Avery Dennison Foundation (ADF) wanted to amplify the global impact of its philanthropic efforts and ensure its NGO partners received the visibility they deserved. Despite awarding numerous grants and supporting thousands of volunteer hours, many of AD employees and Foundation partners were unaware of the collective reach of their initiatives. To bridge this gap, ADF partnered with Momentum Solutions to develop compelling, ethical storytelling strategies that highlight the real-world impact of their grantees.

In this session, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how ADF and Momentum Solutions created a process that streamlines ADF’s ability to uplift NGO partner stories while empowering employees to share and promote. Learn how this process starts with an annual editorial calendar aligned with business

Corporate social impact work has never been more challenging amidst the political, economic, and cultural headwinds and heightened need for strategies that support a business case, reduce risk, and create real change. Even with the best designed strategies, leaders can encounter interference in this environment, and the more interference in the mix, the less social impact.

A key driver of interference is relationships, and when you lead with influence and less with authority, investing in your personal leadership and building your social capital are powerful enabling conditions. In this interactive peer-to-peer workshop you’ll hear from corporate leaders and learn about the interferences that could be derailing your well-laid plans and get hands on with your peers to build enabling conditions to increase your influence and impact.

In an era where corporate purpose is scrutinized and anti-woke sentiment grows, impact leaders face pressure to evolve programs, defend value, and reframe narratives. Yet opportunity remains: data shows business is the most trusted institution, and most people believe it should lead on societal issues when they are connected to their business, operations, or stakeholder interests. In this session, CSX’s LaSandra Boykin, Director of Community Investment and Angela Costa, Community Investment Manager, will share insights on how the company’s signature initiative, Pride in Service, has adapted over time—responding to COVID, social justice movements, and cultural shifts—while staying true to its mission of serving those who serve. Learn how proactive pivots, narrowed or expanded audiences, and responsive innovation can help impact programs thrive—delivering sustained value for communities, employees, and the business.
